Our receipt-to-Excel converter processes all files entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. No receipt data, images, PDFs, or extracted information is ever transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Receipt files: Your PDFs, images, and photos are never uploaded. All processing happens locally in your web browser.
  • Extracted data: Dates, amounts, merchant names, tax figures, and categories stay on your device only.
  • Personal information: We do not require or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any account information.
  • Payment information: Our service is 100% free. We never ask for credit card numbers or billing details.
  • Exported files: CSV, Excel, and PDF exports are generated in your browser and downloaded directly to your device.

How Our Tool Works

When you upload a receipt or invoice:

  1. The file is read by your browser using the File API — it never leaves your device.
  2. For PDFs, pdf.js extracts text locally. For images, Tesseract.js performs OCR locally.
  3. Data parsing, tax categorization, and chart generation all happen in client-side JavaScript.
  4. Exports (CSV, XLSX, PDF reports) are generated in-browser and downloaded directly.

You can verify this by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads — the tool will continue to work normally.

Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal cookies solely for essential functionality:

  • Dark mode preference: A localStorage entry remembers your light/dark theme choice. This is stored only on your device.
  • No analytics cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking.
  • No advertising cookies: If ads are displayed in the future, we will update this policy accordingly.

Our page loads the following open-source libraries from CDNs (Content Delivery Networks):

Anonymization Feature

Our tool includes an optional "Anonymize data" toggle that redacts sensitive information (credit card numbers, phone numbers, email addresses, SSNs, physical addresses, and ZIP codes) from extracted text. This processing also happens entirely in your browser.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
