ReceiptToExcelFree.com provides a free, browser-based tool that converts receipt and invoice files (PDFs and images) into structured spreadsheet formats (CSV, Excel, QuickBooks-ready CSV) and PDF reports. All processing occurs entirely within your web browser using client-side JavaScript.

3. Free Service

The Service is provided completely free of charge with no usage limits. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without prior notice. We may introduce optional paid features in the future, but the core conversion functionality will remain free.

4. No Account Required

No registration, account creation, or personal information is required to use the Service. You can use all features immediately without providing any personal data.

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have the right to process the receipts and invoices you upload.
  • Verifying the accuracy of extracted data before using it for accounting, tax filing, or other purposes.

6. Accuracy Disclaimer

The Service uses automated text extraction (pdf.js) and optical character recognition (Tesseract.js) technology. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that extracted data will be 100% accurate. OCR results can be affected by image quality, receipt formatting, and other factors. You should always review and verify extracted data before using it for tax returns, accounting, or financial reporting.

The automatic tax categorization feature (Schedule C categories) is provided as a convenience and is based on keyword matching. It is not professional tax advice. Consult a qualified tax professional for tax-related decisions.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is the property of ReceiptToExcelFree.com. The open-source libraries used (pdf.js, Tesseract.js, SheetJS, Chart.js, jsPDF, Tailwind CSS) remain under their respective licenses.

You retain full ownership of all receipts, invoices, and data you process using the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RECEIPTTOEXCELFREE.COM SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

This includes but is not limited to: errors in data extraction, incorrect tax categorization, data loss, or any financial consequences resulting from reliance on the Service's output.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service for commercial redistribution.
